Who I am

Long story short; I graduated high school as “web designer”. All I ever did with it was make this website. After 15 years knowledge faded, the struggle was real. My first job was as a dock worker on board containerships. Then I started baking waffles after my hours, which then became my full-time job. Reasons made me a patissier for 3 years. I took a small break after that, in which I realized I had to do something else with my life. Did need to earn money though, so at the moment I work in a warehouse.

How it started

Sitting on a beach in Thailand it dawned on me that I should change course. I’ve always listened to the industrial voice inside me. Coming from a family that is for a majority self employed. There always was that urge to be creative and do things. Make things. Create things. But I can’t sing, nor write or paint. So I looked at the oldest crafts there are. Prostitution was the first, but seemed like a hassle. Can’t be bothered. So my mind fell on leathercrafts. Which are perfectly in line with my long time passion for women’s shoes. the finishing touch of a perfect outfit. Found a course that did shoes and handbags in leather fast tracked in one year. The actual making though, shoes weren’t really my thing, not the thing I thought it was beforehand. Handbags. That was what I imagined shoes were. So I made the switch. So now I can say; Je suis Designer. handbag designer.
